We want to congratulate Dr. Cheryl Dozier who is the newly appointed President of Savannah State University. In April, at our National Conference Dr. Dozier was awarded our "Outstanding Educator Award", in recognition for both her work in our organization in various leadership positions and her leadership in the educating of our children. Savannah State is a HBCU, is in the MEAC Conference and is the flagship of Georgia's Black State Colleges and Universities. Knowing, Cheryl and her drive for excellence Georgia, Georgia Tech and Georgia State need to beware of our newest rising star and rising institution. Dr. Dozier, Cheryl, we are all proud of you.
